Honey
28-01-26 Honey is an active, fun-loving girl who has come to us from a home through no fault of her own. Her owners were moving house and sadly weren’t able to take her with them. Despite this big and confusing change, Honey hasn’t let it dampen her spirits. She absolutely adores people and is a classic goofy Bulldog who loves attention and making friends.
Honey has lived as an only dog in the home and is currently best suited to being the only dog, as this is what she knows. When out and about, she is non-reactive to other dogs, and as she settles in, we can continue to assess whether she may be able to share her space with another dog in the future. She cannot be homed with cats.
As Honey has come from a home environment, she is familiar with everyday household sights and sounds. She has previously lived with children, so we would be happy to consider applications from families with sensible, dog-savvy older children.
Honey can already walk nicely on a lead and will enjoy one or two gentle walks around the neighbourhood once she is settled into her new routine.
Honey is currently receiving treatment for conjunctivitis, and this is being managed to keep her comfortable. She has a broken nail on her paw that is receiving treatment to ensure it heals well. She is also overweight at the moment which is causing stress on her breathing due to her brachycephalic nature. However, with a sensible diet and exercise, she should soon shed the excess and this should help her breathing. She exercises really well, and does not struggle but her adopters should be aware of this in the case that she may need treatment in the future. She has presented to the vets with an abnormal gait, however, the vets believe this is due to her breed and does not bother her.
With her loving nature and cheerful personality, Honey would make a fantastic addition to many families and should slot into home life with ease.
