  • Human family requirements

I’d be happy with dog-savvy teenagers who respect my space.

  • Other pet requirements

I would like a kind resident dog in my new home, and I have met cats well.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm still getting used to my new life so a secure garden for me to explore is ideal.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I have been spayed and have a hematoma around the spay site which needs monitoring.

15-02-26 Alexa is a fun Retriever who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She is full of energy, excitable, and loves to bounce around, but she has just as much love to give and adores human attention.

Alexa gets on wonderfully with other dogs and relies on them for comfort so she will need a kind resident dog in her home that doesn't mind sharing their space. As Alexa has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training and the everyday routines of home life. She is new to lead walking and will need some gentle practice to become a confident and comfortable walker.

Alexa could share her home with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over, who can appreciate that she will need a calm, patient introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. She has met a cat at the rescue well and so could potentially be homed with dog savvy cat.

With her playful personality, endless energy, and affectionate nature, Alexa will make a joyful and devoted companion for a family that can match her zest for life and give her the guidance and love she needs.

Alexa has a hematoma around her spay site, which is being monitored as it heals.
