10-02-26 Buster is a sweet Bulldog who has sadly come into our care from a home. His world has been turned upside down through no fault of his own. Due to a change in his owner’s circumstances, the difficult decision was made to bring him to Many Tears in the hope of finding him a new life.

Buster now spends his days enjoying snuggles with his kennel mums, but as soon as they leave, he barks and howls for them to come back. He is clearly upset and confused and longs to be back in a family home. He loves his toys, is always eager for a piece of cheese, and takes treats gently when asked.

Buster is confident enough to live as the only dog in the home, but he will need adopters who are around enough to keep him company, as he does not cope well with being left alone. Although he is currently kennelled alone, he has previously lived with another dog, and this could be considered again with a suitable match. He does not enjoy busy dogs that get in his face, so any potential canine companion would need to be calm and respectful.

As Buster has come from a home environment, he is familiar with everyday household sights and sounds. He is house-trained and can already walk nicely on a lead, and once settled, he would enjoy one or two gentle walks around the neighbourhood.

Buster has previously lived with children, and so we would consider homes with dog-savvy children aged nine and over. He needs owners who are home most of the time, as he thrives on company and becomes distressed if left alone for long periods. He has also lived with a cat before and has been fine with passing cats at the rescue, although his previous owners advised that he may chase cats if they enter his garden.

Before arriving at Many Tears, Buster was seen by a vet and underwent surgery to remove a lump from his mouth. He currently has some swelling on the left side of his face as he continues to heal and is on medication to keep him comfortable. Buster has also arrived overweight, so his diet and exercise will need to be carefully managed to help him reach a healthier weight. At present, he is experiencing some joint pain and struggles with his left hind leg.

Buster is a truly sweet, gentle, and kind boy who deserves nothing more than to be back in a loving home again.
