Rill is a very worried little lady who has come to us from a breeder. She is understandably unsure of people and still finds human interaction quite daunting, but she is slowly making progress as she begins to adjust to her surroundings.

Rill is now comfortable spending time in the same room as people and will often follow at a distance, especially if food is involved or when heading outside. Although she still chooses to avoid close contact, these small steps show she is beginning to build confidence in her own quiet way.

She remains a very sensitive girl and can be easily startled by sudden movements or noise. She sleeps lightly and is quite jumpy around the home, and her tolerance for handling is still very limited. Because of this, she will need an experienced home with ex-breeding dogs, where adopters fully understand her needs and are happy to let her progress at her own pace without pressure.

Rill will need a calm, quiet, adult-only household where she can feel safe and secure. She has not yet been introduced to walks and this will take time, so her adopters should be prepared to continue working on her confidence slowly, starting in the home and garden.

She relies heavily on other dogs for reassurance and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home who is happy to share their space and allow her to lean on them. She settles beautifully overnight in the kitchen with other dogs, happily sharing beds and resting calmly alongside them.

Rill absolutely loves the garden and this is where she feels most confident. She enjoys being outside, where she will run, play, and even initiate games with other dogs, showing her happier, more relaxed side with tail up and wagging. There is also a cheeky, playful side beginning to emerge, and she would really benefit from a playful canine companion as she grows in confidence. A medium to large secure garden with grass would be ideal for her, as this will be an important space for her to build confidence and enjoy herself.

She can still find coming back indoors quite difficult and may take time to feel brave enough to re-enter the house, so patience and gentle encouragement will be essential. Inside the home, she may choose to settle on the sofa or share beds with other dogs, but will move away quickly if she feels unsure.

Rill is a shy, sensitive girl who is trying incredibly hard to be brave. With the right care, patience, and understanding, she will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into a loving and loyal companion.

She has come to us with a right low grade luxating patella that may improve in time with gentle exercise as her muscles build, and has alopecia on her back end. Her adopters will need to monitor in case she does need treatment in the future. She has had 3 teeth extracted at the time of her spay.
