  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet, adult-only home where I can feel safe and loved.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I am learning to walk on a lead, but it's still very new for me.

  • Training needs

I need to learn lead training and house manners when I am settled into my new home.

  • Medical issues

I have some hormonal alopecia and low grade luxating patella.

Ravix is a nervous girl who has come into our care from a breeder. She is finding kennel life a little overwhelming at the moment and prefers to stay close to her doggy friends where she feels safest.

Right now, Ravix is still feeling quite unsure, but she is beginning to show small and encouraging signs of progress. She has started to approach people for a gentle sniff before backing away again, which may seem like a small step, but for Ravix it is a huge milestone and shows she is slowly building confidence.

She continues to draw comfort from the company of her kennel mates, so we feel she will need to be homed with a calm and confident resident dog who can offer reassurance and help guide her as she adjusts to life outside of kennels.

Ravix’s carers have been able to gently approach her and introduce a harness, and she is beginning to get used to wearing one. This is an important early step before she starts learning to walk on a lead. With nervous dogs like Ravix, taking things slowly and at her pace will be key to helping her succeed, and little by little her personality is starting to shine through.

As Ravix has never lived in a home before, she will need patient adopters who can gently teach her all about house training, lead training, and the everyday basics of home life. A predictable routine and a quiet environment will help her build confidence at her own pace.

We are looking for an adult-only home for Ravix so that she can settle into her new surroundings without too much noise or activity. She can be wary of sudden movements, so will need understanding adopters who are happy to give her time, space, and gentle encouragement as she begins to trust.

Ravix arrived with hormonal alopecia, but this is already growing back nicely and should continue to improve in her new home. She also has Grade 1 luxating patella, but this may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle.

With kindness and patience, Ravix has the potential to form a very special bond with her new family and slowly grow into a devoted and gentle companion. She really is a sweet girl, and seeing her progress is incredibly heartwarming.
