  • Human family requirements

I’d be happy with dog-savvy children who respect my space.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm still getting used to my new life so a secure garden for me to explore is ideal.

  • Training needs

I need to learn lead training and house manners when I am settled into my new home.

  • Medical issues

I am spayed and ready to find my forever home.

20-02-26 Sandy is a quiet little Cavachon who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a fresh start. At the moment, she prefers spending most of her time snuggled up in bed with the other dogs, where she feels safest. She will approach us to say hello and quietly observe what’s going on, but her bed remains her comfort zone while she builds confidence.

Sandy gets on beautifully with her kennel friends and clearly draws reassurance from their company, so she will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and offer ongoing support as she settles in and begins to feel secure.

As Sandy has never lived in a home before, she will need patient adopters who can help her learn house training, lead walking, and the everyday routines of home life at her own pace.

Sandy could share her home with older, dog-savvy children aged 10 and over, who can understand the importance of giving her space, moving calmly, and allowing her to come forward when she feels ready. A quiet, gentle household will suit her best.

Sandy is currently awaiting a full vet health check to ensure she is feeling her best and ready to head off to her forever home.

With time, kindness, and a calm environment, Sandy has the potential to grow into a loving and loyal little companion who will truly appreciate the safety and comfort of a patient home.
