Vincent
Vincent is an absolute heartbreaker who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for the loving forever home he so truly deserves. This distinguished gentleman would love nothing more than a peaceful retirement filled with comfort, kindness, and plenty of affection.
Vincent can be a little unsure in new surroundings, but beneath that initial confusion is a gentle soul who simply wants to feel safe and cherished. There are three things Vincent adores most in life: food, a cosy bed, and a good bum scratch! Give him those, and you’ll have his heart. As he has settled in more and more each day, his playful and cheeky side has come out and this old man has some spring in his step!
He dreams of a warm home where he can relax in front of the fire, enjoy his meals, and spend his days being fussed over the way he always should have been. Vincent would prefer to be the only dog in the home but he does meet dogs well, and has even met some of the equestrians just fine at the rescue!
As Vincent has never lived in a home environment before, he will need patient and understanding adopters to help him learn about house training and everyday routines. With kindness, consistency, and reassurance, he will blossom.
He could live with older, dog-savvy children who understand his need for gentle handling and respect, and who won't mind providing him all of the fuss that he craves. Most of all, Vincent is deserving of a home filled with love, warmth, and compassion, a place where he can finally enjoy the retirement he has always deserved.
If you can offer this special gentleman the peaceful, loving home he’s been waiting for, Vincent will repay you with quiet devotion and endless gratitude.
As he is well into his golden years, Vincent has some age related medical needs. He is very hard of hearing and may be completely deaf. He has arrived with bilateral cataracts and as a result has poor vision. His skin in a poor condition and he has a Grade 2 heart murmur, and a lump on the left side that will be assessed during his neuter. He has been treated for poor skin and sores on his back end.
