Keri
06-03-26 Keri is a worried little girl who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for her forever home. At the moment, she is quite overwhelmed by her new surroundings and will freeze when approached, but despite her worries, she is gentle and easy to handle.
Keri will need a calm and quiet home where she can settle at her own pace. She would benefit from adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who can offer her patience, understanding and gentle reassurance. Keri relies on the company of other dogs for comfort and would like there to be another kind and confident male resident dog in her new home. Although she gets on well with all dogs, she wouldn't like to share her home with a female dog. She can live with older dog-savvy teens who respect her space and allow her to settle in at her own pace.
As she has never lived in a home before, Keri will need kind and patient adopters to help her learn all about home life. She will need guidance with house training and will need to practice walking on a lead, ideally in a secure garden at first.
With time, love and a steady routine, Keri will gain confidence and begin to show her true personality. She is a gentle little girl who has so much to give to the right family and, with patience, will blossom into a devoted and loving companion.
Keri has a Grade 2-3 heart murmur, she doesn't require any medication for this but it's something her adopters and their vet will need to monitor going forwards.
Keri has a travel document.
