Kamila
06-03-26 Kamila has come to us from a breeder and is the most worried of her friends. She currently lacks confidence and is unsure of the world around her. At the moment, she doesn’t seek out human interaction and prefers to hide away in her kennel, hoping to feel safe from the bustle of everything new.
Despite her fears, Kamila is still a sweet-natured girl. She will allow gentle handling; she simply needs someone patient and understanding who will let her move at her own pace and begin to build trust in her own time.
Kamila will need a calm, adult-only home along with at least one kind and confident resident dog. Having a steady canine companion will be essential in helping her learn about home life and gradually grow in confidence.
As she has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be patient as she learns the basics, including house training. Walking on a lead may feel overwhelming for her right now, so starting with gentle garden time in a secure space will be the best way to help her explore safely and begin gaining confidence. Her adopters will need to be understanding of ex-breeders and that she will take some time to come around.
Kamila is in desperate need of love, reassurance, and plenty of TLC. With kindness, patience, and a supportive environment, she has every chance to blossom into a devoted and cherished companion.
Kamila arrived with 29 missing teeth and has had a further 6 extracted during her spay. She has an outward projection of her bottom teeth that the vets have advised to leave. She is underweight and will require a healthy diet to help get her back to an appropriate weight.
Kamila has a PETs travel document.
Kamila has been given the Gift of Life by Jackie Harvey & Katerina Loopstra
