Polly
06-03-26 Polly has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a shy little girl who is understandably feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment, but if you spend a little quiet time with her she soon finds the courage to come and say hello. It’s clear that with gentle reassurance and patience, her confidence will continue to grow.
Polly would love a calm and quiet home where she can settle at her own pace and feel safe as she adjusts to her new life. We would consider homing her with sensible, dog-savvy teenagers who can respect her need for time and understanding while she builds her confidence. She will need her new family to understand that fast movements and a busy house can make her nervous and she will need to go slow and at her own pace as she settles in.
She takes great comfort from other dogs and will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to guide her and help her feel secure. She seems to prefer small dogs or dogs around her size and can be worried of larger dogs. A steady canine companion will be so important for her as she learns that the world can be a happy place.
Polly has never lived in a home before, so she will need help learning all about home life. This will include house training, walking on a lead and getting used to everyday household sights and sounds. With love, kindness and plenty of TLC, we are sure Polly will blossom into a devoted and loving companion in the right home. She has arrived slightly skinny and will need plenty of treats and a healthy diet to get her back to an appropriate weight.
Polly has a travel document.
