  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I've started harness training but a secure garden is fine for now!

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I am spayed and ready to find my forever home.

Mila has come to us from a breeder and is now searching for her very own forever home. She is a worried little lady who initially found her new surroundings quite overwhelming and was unsure of human intentions. However, over the past couple of weeks, Mila has really started to grow in confidence, and it has been lovely to see her beginning to relax and show her true personality.

She is becoming much more comfortable around people and is now starting to actively enjoy their company, often seeking out gentle affection and the occasional cuddle. Mila is showing a lovely balance of affection and independence, happily spending time relaxing on her own as well, often stretched out in the sun taking in her surroundings at her own pace.

Mila will be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can continue to settle at her own pace. She would really benefit from adopters who have experience with worried ex-breeding dogs and who understand that trust takes time to grow. Gentle reassurance, patience, and a kind approach will be key to helping her feel safe. We would consider homing her with dog-savvy teenagers who can respect her need for space as she settles in.

Mila takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and provide reassurance. She gets on well with her kennel companion and enjoys having canine company. However, she can be a little selective with other dogs and may come across as slightly bossy at times. She is not nasty, but careful introductions will be important, and any potential doggy companions would need to be assessed through a meet and greet to ensure a good match.

Having never lived in a home before, Mila’s adopters will need to be understanding as she learns all about home life. She is currently working on her harness training and is very easy to fit with a harness, showing no fuss at all during the process. Walking is still very new to her, so this will take time, patience, and ongoing support as she builds confidence. She will also need help with house training and getting used to everyday household sights and sounds.

Mila has a swelling on the back of her neck, which may be due to a reaction to vaccinations. Our vets are continuing to monitor this to ensure her ongoing health.

With time, love, and plenty of TLC, Mila is already beginning to blossom and will continue to grow into a very sweet and loyal companion in the right home.

Mila has a travel document.
