EMERALD WOULD LIKE TO BE HOMED WITH EMILY
24-03-26 Emerald is a curious but nervous lady who has come to us from a breeder. She arrived with her friend Emily and they love to snuggle together and seem to rely on each other for comfort, so we would like for them to be homed together. They get on wonderfully with other dogs, so they would be happy to share their home with another kind resident dog around their size or larger or they could be homed where it would be just the two of them. They will be looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with nervous rescue dogs and will allow them to settle in at their own pace.
Emerald can lack confidence and is often a little unsure of the world around her, but with time and patience, she has great potential to blossom.
As Emerald has never lived in a home before, she will need gentle and patient, adult-only adopters, with ex-breeding experience who can support her as she learns the basics, including house training and everyday routines. She will need to learn all about lead walking, and as she can find the outside world overwhelming, this may take time. Starting with quiet, positive experiences in a secure garden. Allowing her to explore and enjoy some gentle garden sniffs can help build her confidence before venturing further.
Emerald is a sweet-natured girl who simply needs plenty of time, reassurance, and tender loving care. In the right home, with understanding and kindness, she will gradually grow in confidence and become a loving and loyal companion.
We are told that she has previously been treated for puppy strangles which has resulted in some scarring and her fur is in the process of growing back. She has also arrived with dermatitis that is being monitored.
Emerald has a travel document.
