Lemon
Lemon has come to us from a breeder to begin her search for her forever home. She is finding everything a little overwhelming right now, but she is trying very hard to be brave and already wants to make friends.
Lemon is worried about being handled at the moment and will freeze when picked up, but she is happy to be around people and will often play bow and interact from a distance. She’s now confident enough to approach for fusses, showing lovely progress as she begins to trust more each day. With gentle encouragement and time, we are sure her confidence will continue to grow.
She’s also discovered a love for toys, happily sprinting around the play yard, and she’s proving to be quite the foodie too, which will be a great help with her ongoing training and confidence building.
Lemon has recently been introduced to wearing a harness for the first time. She found the experience a little overwhelming and wasn’t keen to take many steps just yet, but that’s completely understandable at this stage. With continued gentle exposure over the coming days, and possibly the support of another confident dog, we are sure she will soon find her feet.
She will be looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who will allow her to settle at her own pace and not expect too much too soon. Lemon takes great comfort from other dogs, so she will need at least one other kind and confident male resident dog, that is just a bit bigger than her, in her new home to help guide her and show her the ropes.
Lemon has never lived in a home before so she will need patient and understanding adopters as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead and harness.
With time, love, and reassurance, Lemon has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful and loyal companion.
She has a slightly overshot jaw, but this doesn't cause her any issues.
Lemon has a travel document.
