Cristy has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a sweet but very scared girl who initially found everything extremely overwhelming, but she is already beginning to show encouraging signs of progress as she starts to settle.

Cristy is still a sensitive girl and can find handling worrying, so she will need understanding adopters who can go slowly with her and allow her to build trust at her own pace. A calm and quiet, adult-only home environment will help her feel safe enough to continue relaxing and gaining confidence.

Despite her worries, Cristy has started to come out of her shell and has made lovely progress. She has quickly learned to walk on a harness and has recently enjoyed her first time in the play yard, where she loved exploring and having lots of sniffs. These are wonderful steps forward for her and show her growing confidence.

She is not yet taking treats from the hand, but she does enjoy her food and is becoming more comfortable in her surroundings. Cristy is very sociable with other dogs and happily shares her space, toys, and beds with her kennel friends. She takes great comfort from their company and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and provide reassurance.

As Cristy has never lived in a home before, she will need patient and understanding adopters as she learns all about house training and home life. She will benefit from continuing her lead walking practice and being gently introduced to new experiences at her own pace.

With time, patience, and a loving home where she can continue to build her confidence, Cristy has the potential to blossom into a much happier and more confident little girl. She is a beautiful soul who deserves a home of her own where she can continue her journey.

Cristy has had an inguinal hernia repaired on the right side of the time of her spay.
