Conny is a sweet and gentle little Poodle who came into our care from a breeder and has been thriving in her foster home. Although she was initially a little worried by people and unfamiliar surroundings, she has settled beautifully and is showing what a truly lovely little dog she is.

Conny has the sweetest, most submissive nature and is kind to every dog she meets. She takes great comfort from canine companionship and enjoys pottering around the garden with her doggy friends, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help her continue building confidence. She happily shares her beds, toys and food without any fuss and is a wonderfully easy-going little lady.

Since being in foster care, Conny has made fantastic progress. She is crate trained, clean in the home, walks nicely on a lead, travels well in the car and is very easy to handle, even happily enjoying a relaxing bath. She has shown just how adaptable she can be once she feels safe and secure.

Although Conny has come a long way, she can still be a little unsure in new situations and will benefit from a calm and understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. She has never known life as a much-loved family pet until now, so her adopters should be patient as she continues learning about the world around her. With gentle encouragement, she is sure to keep blossoming.

Conny would love a quieter home with one or two calm doggy companions and adopters who will allow her to settle in without expectation. In return, they will gain an affectionate, undemanding and incredibly sweet companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved.

Conny came to us with infected ears, which have now been treated. Our vets have also diagnosed her with a Grade 2 luxating patella in her left hind leg, which may improve as she builds muscle through gentle exercise. She has also had 20 teeth removed at the time of her spay.

Conny is a truly special little girl with a heart of gold. Her gentle, loving nature and quiet resilience make her a joy to be around, and we know that with the right family, she will continue to flourish into the happy, cherished companion she has always deserved to be.

Conny has a travel document.
