Cassy is a sweet girl who has come to us from a breeder and is now ready to start her next chapter. She can be a little overwhelmed by new situations and may be unsure initially, but with time, love and patience she is already showing just how much progress she can make.
Cassy has now moved into a foster home where she is settling in well and learning all about home life for the first time ever. She is trying so hard to be brave, but doesn't actively seek attention yet. If she's on the sofa or in bed, she is happy to be fussed.
Cassy relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and reassurance, so she will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and provide support as she continues to learn about life in a home environment. She has met cats and was very good with them, so could potentially live alongside a feline friend, with sensible introductions.
She had never lived in a home before moving to foster and is already doing well with learning new skills like house training, but does need more practice. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she continues to build confidence and learn about the world around her.
Cassy has started learning about wearing a harness, but isn't feeling quite brave enough to go for walks yet, but this is something that her fosterer will work on with her.
This lovely girl is simply looking for someone willing to take a chance on her, offering the love, patience and reassurance she needs to truly thrive. In return, you'll have the privilege of watching her blossom into the happy, confident dog she is meant to be.
When Cassy arrived with us, it was noted that she had a cherry eye, which was repaired. This has recently popped back out, but at this moment is too small to repair again and so this is something her adopters and their vet will need to monitor. She has also been treated for conjunctivitis. She has had a dental with one tooth extracted, and our vets have noted that one other tooth has a slightly exposed root. This does not require removal at present but should be monitored.
Cassy has a travel document.
