Nat
Nat is a delicate little lady who came from her breeder in search of a loving home. She is naturally inquisitive and full of curiosity, but she can be easily startled, especially when handled too quickly. While she adores her canine friends and enjoys playing with other dogs, she is still learning to trust humans and will need a kind and patient adopter to help her adjust to home life at her own pace.
Since arriving, Nat has made good progress in overcoming her fear of handling. While she was initially very nervous, her kennel mum has found that with a gentle approach, she stays still and tolerates handling well. She has even been taken into the grooming room for a brush and trim!
Nat has since moved to a foster home, where she is settling in well and adjusting to home life wonderfully. She had never lived in a home before but is learning all about house training and mostly toilets outside or on a puppy pad overnight.
She has also learned to walk on a lead and will follow the other dogs and walks well, but she can be nervous of new situations so it's important that she is in a secure harness and preferably double leaded for her safety.
She loves food, and this has been the key to earning her trust. She is especially a fan of roast chicken!
Nat needs someone who understands that progress will take time, but with the right support and patience, Nat has the potential to blossom into a happy, loving companion. She just needs someone to believe in her and give her the chance she deserves. We would consider homing her with older, dog savvy teenagers who would understand to let her settle in at her own pace.
Nat is currently being treated for a ear infection in both ears.
