10-05-26 Gail has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for her forever home. She is a very scared little girl who is feeling extremely overwhelmed to find herself here and it is clear she is not used to much handling or human interaction. At the moment Gail is very wary of people and will try her best to avoid being handled, often using warning signals to ask for space. If she feels pushed beyond her comfort zone, she may panic and choose to make the wrong decision through her fear. Once she gets to know you, she does start to relax and will allow gentle handling at her own pace.

Gail will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience of scared ex-breeding dogs and understand the importance of patience, time and reading her body language. She will need kind and understanding adopters who will allow her to take things at a pace she feels comfortable with.

Although Gail does need the company of another kind resident dog for reassurance, she can be selective with which dogs she likes and will be looking for a home with a laid-back male resident dog who is around her size.

Gail has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her. She will need to learn all about home life and new skills like house training. She has also never walked on a lead and harness before, and this will need to be introduced very gradually once she is feeling more comfortable with handling.

Gail needs plenty of TLC as she starts this new chapter in her life, and we are hopeful that, in the right home, she will gradually come out of her shell and begin to show her lovely personality.
