Nicce
When Nicce first arrived with us from a breeder, she was a sweet but worried little lady who was understandably unsure of her new surroundings. Although nervous, she would gently approach to sniff a hand and seemed to enjoy a quiet fuss, showing us the lovely nature hiding beneath her shyness.
Nicce has now moved to a foster home where she is settling in well and is becoming braver with each passing day. She is a quiet, gentle girl who has formed a very close bond with one of the resident dogs in her foster home, and takes great comfort from having canine companionship around her. It’s very important that she have at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing, who will allow her to cuddle up close to them and follow them around.
While she is still wary of people and can be a little hand-shy, her fosterer has already seen encouraging improvements since her arrival. Her inquisitive nature is beginning to shine through and she is slowly learning that the world is not such a scary place after all.
Nicce's favourite place is the garden, where she loves to wander, sniff, roll about and relax in the sunshine. She has been clean in the house from day one and sleeps quietly overnight. She has worn a harness to start to get used to it, although she is not yet ready to learn about going for walks just yet.
She will be looking for a calm and quiet home with patient adopters who will allow her to continue building confidence at her own pace. She would benefit from adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs.
Nicce is a truly beautiful girl, both inside and out, and with a little time, understanding and love, she will make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family.
She has had 21 teeth extracted at the time of her spay, so would benefit from a soft food diet moving forwards. She has also had a grape sized mammary lump removed.
