29-05-26 Eric is a handsome older gentleman who has come to us from a breeder to begin his search for the loving retirement home he truly deserves. He is a little overwhelmed to find himself here at the moment and is understandably a worried little soul. He will need lots of love, patience and TLC as he starts to settle in and realise how wonderful his life can be.

Eric is looking for a calm and quiet home with understanding adopters who will allow him to settle in at his own pace. He would really benefit from adopters who have experience with nervous ex-breeding dogs and we would consider a home with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16+.

He takes great comfort from other dogs and so he will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in his new home to help guide and reassure him. He has never lived in a home environment before, so his adopters will need to be patient and supportive as he learns all about home life, including new skills like house training, walking on a lead and wearing a harness.

Eric has spent his whole life in kennels and he really deserves the chance to finally become someone’s special boy. We would love for him to find a cosy retirement home where he can discover the joy of soft beds, gentle cuddles and snoozing on the sofa for the very first time.

Eric has been neutered and has had 17 teeth removed at the time of the procedure. The vets have noticed a Grade 1 heart murmur, which does not require action at this time but should be monitored.
