Laurence is a sweet boy who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a loving forever home. He has been described as an absolute gentleman, and it is easy to see why. Although he can be a little wary when meeting new people, with a gentle introduction he is quick to make friends and enjoys gentle fuss and attention. He has settled beautifully into his wonderful foster home, where he has been experiencing home life for the very first time, and he has embraced it far better than anyone could have hoped.

Laurence has made incredible progress in foster and his confidence has grown enormously. He now walks calmly by your side, taking in the world at a relaxed pace, and thoroughly enjoys getting out and about. He has also taken wonderfully to home life, sleeping soundly through the night and happily settling wherever he is shown. He thrives on the comfort of a routine and has become a fantastic house guest.

Laurence gets on wonderfully with other dogs and relies on their company for comfort, so he will be looking for a home where there is at least one kind resident dog to be his friend, ideally one of a similar size. He loves the company of his canine companions and is beginning to discover the joy of playing with dog toys. He is in foster alongside three resident dogs, two large dogs and one small dog, males and females, and gets along with them all brilliantly. He is also living alongside a cat and chickens, so in the right circumstances he may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat.

A true gentleman, Laurence has now met people of all ages. He is polite and appropriate when meeting new people and, once he feels comfortable, happily accepts gentle fuss and affection. At home, he quietly seeks out cuddles from the people he trusts and has so much love to give.

Laurence would love to find a patient and understanding family who will continue to build on the wonderful progress he has made. He has embraced family life beautifully and is sure to thrive in a loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence. He will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing to ensure he remains safe.

Laurence has had 16 teeth extracted at the time of his neuter and benefits from having some of his kibble soaked to make it easier to eat, although he has an excellent appetite and enjoys a varied diet. He has also had a cyst drained from his left hip, which may recur in the future but should not cause him any problems.

Laurence is a truly special boy who has so much love to give. If you are looking for a calm, kind-hearted companion to share woodland walks, cosy evenings at home and all of life's adventures, Laurence could be the perfect addition to your family.

He has a travel document.
