Donna is a beautiful girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived with us she was a very frightened girl who was understandably quite wary of people and would shy away.

She has recently moved to a wonderful foster home where she is getting to experience home life for the first time and the progress she has made since then has been incredible! While she is still a shy girl, she will happily approach her fosterer for a gentle sniff and to offer kisses. She will even jump into her bed and ask to be stroked, which is so lovely. She loves to do zoomies around the garden and has also discovered toys and loves to play with them and empty the toy box!

Donna will still be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from adopters who have experience of ex-breeding dogs and who have plenty of time to spend with her. She has met some children well whilst in her foster home and so we would consider homing her with gentle, dog savvy teenagers.

She relies on other dogs for comfort and company, so she will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and take her under their wing. She is currently living in foster with a cat, and though she is quite interested, she is easily distracted and doesn't chase, so may be able to live with a dog savvy cat.

Donna had never lived in a home before moving to foster, so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she continues to settle in and learn about home life. She is already house trained during the day, but does have some accidents overnight at the moment. While she loves spending time in the garden, she isn't walking on a lead and harness just yet, but this is something her fosterer will start working on with her next.

With time, love and TLC, we think Donna is going to truly thrive and blossom into the most wonderful companion.
