    I can live with older dog-savvy children, aged 16+ and allow me time to settle in.

Kate has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a shy but very sweet little girl who is feeling rather overwhelmed by all the changes in her life. She has now spent a week in foster care, where she is beginning to learn all about life in a home. Despite her worries, Kate is a waggy-tailed girl who greets her foster carer happily and is showing what a lovely nature she has.

Kate is looking for a calm and quiet home with patient adopters who will allow her to settle in at her own pace and give her the time she needs to blossom. She is becoming more confident moving around the house and is comfortable alongside all of the resident dogs, who provide her with lots of reassurance. However, she can still be startled by sudden noises or unexpected movements, so she will need a home that understands she is still building her confidence.

As Kate gains confidence from the company of other dogs, she will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and show her the way. She is still unsure about being handled or stroked, so her new family will need to continue building her trust before introducing a harness and lead training. Everything is still very new to her, and she will need kind and understanding adopters who will help her learn about all the joys of family life at her own pace. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens aged 16+ who will respect her boundaries and allow her the time she needs to settle.

Kate has already made a lovely start with her house training and has been clean in her foster home, happily taking herself outside when the door is open or when let out regularly. She is such a sweet girl, and we think that with time, love and plenty of TLC, she will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into the most wonderful companion.

She has arrived with some hormonal alopecia, which should start to grow back once she has been spayed.
