  • Human family requirements

I can live with older dog-savvy children who understand I need time to settle in.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I have never been on walks, but would love to learn once I am fully vaccinated!

  • Training needs

I am just a puppy! Please be patient with me while I learn the basics!

  • Medical issues

I have a Grade 3 heart murmur, & will need to be neutered once I am of age!

17-06-26 Pickles is a sweet boy who has come to us from a breeder as part of an unsold litter. He is a very energetic boy who will need an active household that can keep up with him.

As he is just a puppy, he has never lived in a home before and will need to learn all about house training, lead walking, and the basics of home life once he has finished his vaccinations. He can be a little flighty around us humans and seems to have had very little experience with people so far, so he will need at least one resident dog in the home that he can look to for reassurance as he learns about trusting people and navigating the world as an adult dog. He can live with dog-savvy older children who are sensible and understand that he is still learning.

His adopters will need to be committed to taking him to socialisation and training classes to help him become a well-rounded adult dog and build his confidence. With time, patience, and guidance, we are sure he will come on leaps and bounds.

Pickles is a lovely boy with lots of energy and potential, and he is sure to light up any loving home. He has arrived with a Grade 3 heart murmur, and this will need to be monitored in his new home.

Pickles has been given the Gift of Life by Shirley Bourne
