Wanda came to us from a breeder in search of the loving forever home she has always deserved. Like many ex-breeding dogs, she was a little worried when she first arrived and found all the changes in her life quite overwhelming. However, it didn't take long for her sweet nature to shine through.

Since moving into foster, Wanda has adapted wonderfully to home life. After a slightly shy start, she quickly realised that people could be kind and has settled beautifully into her foster home. She has fitted in perfectly with the resident dogs and has proven herself to be a truly lovely little companion.

Wanda absolutely loves the company of other dogs and is currently living happily alongside three Cockapoos. She enjoys playing with them, loves joining in with the zoomies and takes great comfort from having canine friends around her. Because of this, she will need at least one kind, confident resident dog in her forever home to continue giving her reassurance and companionship.

She has embraced home life incredibly well. Wanda is house trained, sleeps soundly through the night and has even claimed a cosy spot on her foster carer's bed. Around the home she's an easy little girl to live with, happily pottering about before settling down for a snooze. Her foster carer describes her as "an amazing guest" who has caused no trouble at all.

Wanda is beginning to learn all about the world beyond the home too. She is getting used to wearing a soft harness and has started her lead-walking journey, taking everything at her own pace. She's also enjoying visits to secure dog fields where she can continue to build her confidence through positive experiences.

She has a wonderfully gentle nature and has been a pleasure to care for. She eats well, although following extensive dental work she enjoys her food with a little added water and would benefit from using a slow-feeder bowl. She has also been beautifully behaved for bathing and grooming, taking everything in her stride.

When Wanda arrived with us, she underwent a full dental alongside her spay and had 13 teeth removed, having already lost another 10 teeth before arriving at Many Tears. Despite this, she eats well and doesn't let it stop her enjoying life.

Wanda is looking for a calm, patient home with adopters who understand the needs of ex-breeding dogs and will continue helping her discover all the joys of family life. She could live with sensible, dog-savvy older teenagers aged 16+ who will allow her to continue settling at her own pace.

Wanda is an incredibly sweet little girl with a kind, gentle personality. She's already shown just how well she can adapt when she's given love, patience and reassurance, and we have no doubt she'll make a wonderful companion for one very lucky family.
