Dory
17-07-26 Dory is a gentle little lady who has come into our care from a breeder. She is understandably worried and currently prefers to stand back and observe from a distance while she settles into her new surroundings. Although she can be cautious, she doesn't shy away when approached, showing that she is curious and wants to build trust in her own time.
She will be best suited to a calm and quiet home and would benefit from adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. We would consider homing her with dog savvy teenagers.
Dory takes great comfort from her kennel friends and will need a home with at least one other kind, confident resident dog who she can rely on as she continues to learn about trust, companionship, and life as a much-loved pet.
Having never lived in a home before, Dory will need patient and understanding adopters who can help her adjust to home life and learn all about house training and all the new sights, sounds, and experiences that come with home life. She has never walked on a lead, and will need to take this at a slow pace, and some garden sniffs may be a good start. She is a wonderfully sweet and placid girl who simply needs the time, space, and reassurance to blossom and let her lovely personality shine.
Dory has a travel document.
