Please meet Danny! He has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for the loving forever home he so deserves.

Danny is an incredibly sweet and handsome boy who is settling in well. Although he is quite shy at the moment, his gentle nature shines through. Once you spend some time with him, he is happy to quietly approach you and enjoys gentle chin scratches. He has such a kind, gentle soul and we know that, given time, he will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Danny is looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. He has never lived in a home before, so his new family will need to help him learn all about home life, including house training and walking on a lead and harness. He has already been making fantastic progress with his harness training and is growing in confidence every day. While he still finds the busy area in front of reception a little overwhelming, he walks very well once he reaches the quieter main road. As he continues to build confidence, we are sure he will keep making wonderful progress.

Like many young dogs, Danny also has a cheeky side! He has developed quite a fondness for chewing both his own harness and his kennel mate's harness whenever he gets the chance, so we have to keep a close eye on him. It's all part of his playful personality and gives us a glimpse of the happy, mischievous dog he's becoming.

Danny takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need another kind and confident resident dog in his new home to help show him the ropes and be his friend. We would consider homing him with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand that he will need space and patience while he settles. He has met cats fine at the rescue, and we would consider homing him with dog-savvy cats.

Danny is a truly lovely boy with so much potential, and with lots of love, patience and TLC, we think he will truly thrive.

Our vets have noted that Danny has mild bilateral cataracts. At the moment his vision is good and these do not affect him, but this is something that will need monitoring in the future. Since arriving with us, he has also been treated for an ear infection, sore paw pads and lip fold dermatitis. He has had a dental and two teeth extracted.

Danny has a travel document.
