29-07-26 Please meet Derby. She has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home where she can begin to enjoy the life she has always deserved.
Derby is a shy little girl with the most gentle nature. Although she can be a little unsure at first, she will quietly come over to say hello and is easy to handle. She has a lovely, sweet temperament and is already showing that, with a little patience and reassurance, she is keen to learn that people can be kind.
Derby is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. She will need patient adopters who understand that she has never experienced life in a home before and will need time to adjust to all the new sights, sounds and routines that come with family life.
A kind and confident resident dog will be essential for Derby, as she will take comfort from having a canine friend to help guide her and build her confidence. She could also live with sensible, dog-savvy older teenagers aged 16 years and over who will give her the space and understanding she needs while she settles.
Derby has never lived in a home before, so she will need help with house training and learning all about home life. She will also need to learn to walk on a lead and harness and will need to practice around the home and garden before venturing further.
Derby is a truly lovely little girl and with love and TLC, we think she will truly blossom.
She has had a dental and had 22 teeth removed, so will need a soft food diet moving forwards. She has an undershot jaw, but this doesn't bother her. Our vets have noted that she has had 3 mammary lumps removed.
Derby has a travel document.
