24-08-26 Bumblebee is a very nervous girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She was briefly adopted but has sadly returned to our care through no fault of her own, as her adopters felt that they were not the right home for her due to how nervous she was. We are looking for a very special home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.

Bumblebee is trying so hard to be brave and is starting to come out of her shell and is now even beginning to approach people for gentle kisses once she feels comfortable. She can still be spooked by loud or unexpected noises, so she will need patient adopters who understand that her confidence will take time to grow. She relies on other dogs for comfort and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing.

She will be best suited to a calm and quiet, adult only home and would benefit from adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs, along with a secure garden with fencing of at least 6ft to help keep her safe while she settles. We are told that Bumblebee did struggle to settle when sleeping downstairs in the home and would bark, so ideally she is looking for adopters who are happy to allow her access to the bedroom so she could sleep near them if she chooses to.

Although she is understandably worried, Bumblebee is easy to handle and is becoming more confident every day as she begins to trust the people around her and with time, love and kindness we think she will truly blossom into a wonderful companion.

She has never lived in a home before, minus her brief adoption, so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She has started learning to walk on a harness and is taking everything at her own pace, making steady progress as her confidence grows.

Watching her grow in confidence will be an incredibly rewarding journey for the lucky family who gives her the time, patience and understanding she needs.

Bumblebee arrived underweight and will need a good diet (and plenty of treats!) to help her back to a healthy weight.
