24-08-26 Curly is a very sweet girl who has come into our care from a breeder and is now looking for a very special forever home where she can have all the love, attention and reassurance she deserves. She was very briefly adopted, but sadly found it difficult to share her home and her person with another dog, so she has returned to us. We feel Curly will be happiest as the only pet in her home, where she can enjoy having her humans all to herself.
Curly is a wonderful girl who can be a little shy when she first meets you, but it doesn't take her long to warm up. Once she gets to know you, she becomes an absolute cuddle bug and loves nothing more than getting close to her people. She can sometimes be a little grumbly when meeting new people, so her adopters will need to give her a little space and allow her time to work out that she is safe. A tasty food bribe always seems to help too!
Curly can be wary of children, so we will only consider homes with teenagers aged 16+. She is looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience of rescue dogs and who understand that she may need time and patience to settle in and build her confidence.
Curly would like to be the only pet in the home and cannot live with cats. She is perfectly happy meeting other dogs out on walks, she just doesn't want to share her home or her humans with them.
Apart from her very brief adoption, Curly has never experienced life in a home before. Her adopters will therefore need to be kind, patient and understanding as she learns all about home life, including things such as house training. She can already walk well on a lead and harness and will love heading out for walks and adventures with her new family.
Curly has so much love to give once she trusts you, and we know that the right person will see what a special little girl she is. She is looking for a quiet home where she can settle at her own pace, gain confidence and, most importantly, finally know what it is like to be someone's very special girl.
