Pop

30-07-26 Pop is a fantastic little lady who has come to us from a breeder, although we have been told she has lived in a home previously. She knows her name and responds to "Pop", so her new family will need to keep this name.

Pop is a wonderful little girl who is full of love, character and energy. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but it doesn't take her long to warm up. Once she knows you, she absolutely loves cuddles, enjoys giving kisses and thrives on human company. She has a very affectionate, sweet nature and loves being involved in whatever her people are doing.

As an active Jack Russell Terrier x Collie, Pop is looking for a home that can provide plenty of physical exercise as well as mental enrichment to keep her clever little brain busy. She is doing well with her lead walking and enjoys getting out and about, but she will need owners who are committed to continuing her training and helping her build confidence.

Pop will need to be the only dog in her new home. Whilst she can walk past some dogs, she is worried by them and can become reactive on lead, making the wrong choices when she feels overwhelmed. Her adopters will need to be experienced, understanding and willing to continue working on her doggy social skills using positive, reward-based training. We have already started muzzle training with Pop to help build her confidence, with the hope that, in time, she may be able to enjoy controlled walks alongside calm canine companions.

As Pop has previously lived in a home, we think she is likely to know many of the basics, although she may need a few reminders as she settles into a new routine.

She could live with sensible, dog-savvy children aged 13 years and over but will need a home without cats.

Pop is a truly wonderful little dog with so much love to give. With patient, experienced adopters who can provide the active lifestyle and ongoing training she needs, she will make a fantastic, loyal and loving companion.
