06-08-26 Effy is a very scared and nervous lady who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She is understandably overwhelmed by everything around her. Effy trembles when we approach or hold her and, although she can be picked up, she is very flinchy and frightened of being handled. When we tried to take her photos, she couldn't even bring herself to look at us and instead found it easier to face the wall. It's clear that Effy has no idea what our intentions are yet and doesn't realise that we are here to help her. It is truly heart breaking to see.

Despite her worries, Effy is an incredibly sweet little girl. She has the most adorable little tongue that peeks out, and it's impossible not to fall in love with her.

We believe that Effy will need another kind and confident dog in the home, and this dog will be a much-needed support system to help guide her, reassure her, and show her that the world isn't such a scary place.

As Effy has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and understanding, allowing her to settle at her own pace without any pressure. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens, aged 16+ who are sensible and understand that she will need time to settle in at her own pace.

Effy has such a gentle soul, and although she can't show it just yet, we hope that with time, kindness, and the support of her new family, she will slowly begin to feel safe enough to let her beautiful personality shine through.

Effy has been spayed and has 7 teeth removed at the time of the procedure.

She has a travel document.
