Faith is a beautiful girl who came to us from a breeder and was initially incredibly shut down and terrified of people. She would run away from any human interaction and wouldn't even eat when people were around. However, over the last two months, Faith has made some wonderful progress and is slowly learning that people can be kind. She now walks on a harness, although she can still be easily spooked, and is happiest walking with people she knows and trusts. She will now take treats from us in her kennel, and sometimes on walks when things are quiet, with hot dogs being a particular favourite! Recently, she even allowed a little gentle fuss in the big play yard, choosing to stay for affection rather than run away. This may seem like a small step, but for Faith, it is a huge achievement.

Faith absolutely adores other dogs and truly comes alive when joining her friends for playtime in our big yard. She approaches them with a full-body wiggle and has even discovered how much fun toys can be, although she cannot be left unsupervised with soft toys! She will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help her continue building her confidence and show her the ropes of home life. As a Collie, she will also need plenty of enrichment and exercise to keep her busy once she has settled in.

Faith is still a very nervous girl who will need an adult-only home with Collie experience, where her progress will be celebrated and she can continue learning at her own pace. She has never lived in a home before, so she will need patient adopters who can help her with house training, lead walking and all the other new experiences that come with family life. She will also need an extra-secure garden of at least 6ft to keep her safe as she settles in.

Faith really is such a sweet girl who tries her very hardest to be brave. Although she is making lovely progress with us, kennels is no place for a puppy to spend these important months of her life. Her three Collie friends who arrived with her have all found their forever homes, and now it is Faith's turn to find someone who can see just how far she has come and how much potential she has. With time, patience and lots of love, we know this special girl has so much more to discover, and we desperately hope her forever family won't keep her waiting much longer.
