11-08-26 Irene is a nervous little lady who has come to us from a breeder. Although she is still unsure, she shows lovely glimpses of wanting to be confident. If you are patient with her and crouch down to her level, she'll quietly come over to give you little kisses, showing just how much love she has to give once she feels safe.

Irene will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can lean on as she learns about trust and settles into home life. As she has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be patient while she learns all about house training and the routines of family life. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens aged 13+ who are sensible and will allow her time to settle in. She will need a home that has experience with ex-breeders that can provide her with the assurance she deserves.

Irene is new to lead walking and will need continued gentle encouragements as she continues to learn in her new home. Irene is a truly lovely girl who just needs time, patience and plenty of TLC. With an understanding home and a canine friend by her side, we're sure she will continue to grow in confidence and become a wonderful companion.

Irene has been assessed by our vets who have noted that she has Grade 3 bilateral luxating patellas. These aren't causing her any issues at the moment and may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle. They will need to be monitored by her adopters and their vet and her adopters should be aware that any future treatment relating to her luxating patellas will not be covered by insurance.

Irene has a travel document.
