14-08-26 Chickpea is a gorgeous but worried little lady who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving and safe forever home. She is beginning to settle into her new surroundings but isn't comfortable around us humans just yet. She will often run away when approached and prefers to hide away in the hope that nobody notices her, and it is so heart-breaking to see.

Chickpea can be worried about being handled, and this is something that will need to happen at her own pace. She will need a patient and understanding home that will allow her to build trust slowly and gently. Her adopters will need to have ex-breeding experience to better understand her worries and needs.

Chickpea relies heavily on her canine companions for reassurance and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can lean on as she learns about life in a home. As she has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be understanding as she learns about house training. Gentle garden sniffs may be a good place to start while she continues to find her paws in this big world.

Because Chickpea is such a nervous and flighty little lady, she will need an extra secure home and garden to help keep her safe. She is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can settle at her own pace and receive all the love, patience, and TLC she needs to blossom.

Chickpea has a travel document.
