27-08-26 Rodeo is a sweet but sensitive lady who has come to us from a breeder. She is not very confident at the moment and prefers to keep her distance, as she can be a little nervous when approached. Rodeo is easy enough to handle when picked up and is a gentle girl who just needs someone to offer her plenty of TLC, patience and reassurance while she learns to trust and grow in confidence.

Rodeo will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home who she can look to and lean on for comfort as she continues to find her paws. She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she learns all about house training and walking on a lead. Lead walking may be too scary for her initially, so some gentle garden sniffs and exploring in a secure garden may be a good place to start.

Rodeo can live with older, dog-savvy children aged 13+ who are kind and sensible and can offer her the calm and quiet environment she needs to settle in. Her new family will need to give her plenty of time and allow her to progress at her own pace without asking too much of her too soon. With patience, love and the support of a confident resident dog, we’re sure Rodeo will gradually begin to trust, grow in confidence and show her lovely personality.

Rodeo has come to us with a severely undershot jaw that does not seem to bother her at this time, but her new adopters will need to monitor this in the home. However, we think it makes her very cute!
