I need a secure garden where I can enjoy the sniffs and play.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I walk well on the lead but will need help with housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I’ve started my vaccinations and have already been spayed.

The Sweetest Little Heart – Meet Thelma

Thelma is a beautiful 3-year-old ex-breeding Beagle who has come to Many Tears to begin her new life. After spending her entire life in a kennel environment, everything in the outside world has been brand new and understandably overwhelming for her. But this gentle little girl has shown such courage and is blossoming more each day.

When Thelma first arrived, she would stay tucked away in the back of her kennel, finding comfort in the company of her doggy friends. But with a calm approach and kind words, she would accept cuddles and quietly enjoy a fuss. Over time, Thelma has grown in confidence and is now happily coming forward to greet people, especially if there might be a treat involved! Her sweet Beagle nose leads the way, and she loves nothing more than a good sniff in the fresh air.

Thelma walks beautifully on a lead and has recently started going on solo walks, though she still finds strength and joy in being part of a pack. She absolutely adores the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with at least one kind, confident resident dog to cuddle with, play alongside, and continue showing her the ropes of home life.

She is now in a healthier condition after being underweight on arrival and is steadily gaining strength and sparkle. Her carers describe her as the perfect little Beagle, and it’s hard not to fall in love with her. She even has a heart-shaped marking on her head—proof, they say, that her heart is so big, it just had to spill out.

Thelma hasn’t had the chance to live in a home before, so she will need gentle guidance with house training, everyday household noises, and learning routines. She may be able to live with calm, dog-savvy teenagers who understand that she will need time to settle and grow.

If you’re looking for a tender, kind-hearted dog who is just beginning to discover the joy of love, walks, and play, Thelma might be the perfect match for you. She has so much to give, and she’s just waiting for someone to give her the chance she truly deserves.
