I would like a calm and quiet, adult home where I can settle in.
I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.
I'm an active breed but still unsure of humans, so a secure garden would be great.
I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.
I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.
I have slightly thickened pinna on my left ear.

Beautiful Bessie is a Beagle who originally came to us from a breeder. When she first arrived, she was very shut down and unsure of the world, but she has always been sweet-natured and easy to handle. Now in foster, Bessie is fully house-trained, sleeps peacefully through the night with the other dogs, and is slowly beginning to gain confidence.

She’s still learning to walk on a lead, but happily wears her harness and is making steady progress. Her gentle personality is beginning to shine through more each day, and it’s been a joy to see her start to explore her surroundings.

Bessie will need a quiet, adult-only home with patient adopters who can offer her structure, reassurance, and lots of love. She would benefit from having a kind resident dog to guide her as she continues to adjust to life in a home. Bessie has so much potential and truly deserves a forever home where she can continue to blossom.
