Haisley is a beautiful Cavapoo who came to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived, she completely broke our hearts. She was so worried and overwhelmed, completely shut down, and would sit trembling in a corner whenever anyone approached. She was such a very sad little girl.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and Haisley has already made some wonderful progress. Although she is still a very worried girl, her true personality is slowly beginning to shine through. Instead of hiding away, she can now often be found sitting at the front of her kennel, gently playing with toys. She has also discovered the joy of the play yard and loves to run around with her canine friends, showing us a fun and playful side that we hadn’t seen before. Haisley is still nervous of people, but she is learning to trust, and if she knows you, she will now approach and even sit near you, which is a fantastic step forward for her.

Haisley will need a calm and quiet, adult-only home with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can help her build confidence and guide her as she learns all about home life. As she has never lived in a home before, everything will be brand new to her, so her adopters must be patient and understanding as she takes her time learning skills like house training. She has also never walked on a lead before, so she will need to start practising around the home and garden until she feels ready to explore the outside world.

Haisley is very much a “project dog,” and helping her become the happy, confident dog she deserves to be will take time, patience, and gentle guidance. But watching her reach new milestones and continue to blossom will be incredibly rewarding.
