Belle
Belle is a gentle, worried little girl who has sadly been returned to us through no fault of her own. She didn’t quite settle in her previous home, and now she’s looking for a quiet, adult-only home where she can feel safe and secure.
This typical beagle loves her food and is beginning to explore the joys of play, both with toys and other dogs. She prefers companions her own size or smaller and will need a kind resident dog to help guide her as she settles into her new home. Belle sleeps peacefully through the night downstairs with her foster dogs and thrives on their calm presence.
She is getting much easier to handle and likes a fuss and will accept a cuddle as long as she doesn't feel trapped.
When Belle first arrived, she was treated for sore and dirty ears. In her previous home, she was prescribed anxiety medication because her adopters were concerned she wasn’t settling well. Since returning to us and now living in foster, she is fully weaned off the medication. Belle is a typical ex-breeder who will thrive with someone patient and understanding to guide her as she continues to gain confidence and enjoy life.
She enjoys going out for walks now, and she has been to a beagle meet and had a lovely time with lots of other beagles and their owners in a secure field.
Belle is looking for patient, understanding owners who will give her time, gentle guidance, and the reassurance she needs. In the right home, with a kind resident dog and calm humans by her side, Belle will flourish into the affectionate, loyal companion she’s always meant to be.
