Risky is a beautiful and gentle girl who has continued to surprise us with her quiet courage and blossoming personality. Although she only recently moved into a foster home, she is already showing us just how much love she has to give.

When Risky first came to us from a breeder, she was incredibly nervous and unsure of the world around her. Human kindness was unfamiliar, and she found comfort only in the company of other dogs. But since arriving in foster, Risky has made truly heartwarming progress.

She has settled beautifully and is starting to show her playful side. Her joyful zoomies in the garden are a delight to see, and she now actively seeks out the company of her fosterer for comfort and affection. Risky finds great reassurance in gentle, kind humans, and while she can still be wary of sudden movements or touch, she is learning that being loved is a wonderful thing.

Risky is doing well with housetraining so far and has taken to lead walking with surprising confidence. She trots along happily, enjoying her walks and the chance to sniff the world around her. She is good with the resident cat and shows a gentle, respectful nature and could be homed with a dog-savvy cat.

Her foster has noticed that when meeting other dogs, she may initially seem worried, especially with larger dogs, but she settles once she feels safe. While she has always drawn confidence from other dogs, she is now showing signs that she could potentially be rehomed as an only dog, provided her adopter is home most of the time and can offer her the companionship and reassurance she needs.

Risky is still learning about home life and will need a calm, patient, and understanding home. A garden where Risky can relax in the sun and settle into her new home would be ideal! She has been introduced to going on walks and seems to be taking this in stride and would love a few quiet walks with plenty of cuddle time with her new family!

Risky originally came to us with an ear infection, which she has now completed treatment for and is in good health. As her coat grows back from the severe haircut she arrived with, we know she will soon be as stunning on the outside as she is on the inside.

Risky is a very special little girl who is taking brave steps every day. With kind hearts, a quiet home, and lots of love, she will continue to blossom into the happy, cherished companion she was always meant to be.
