Meet Promise – The Most Complicated Pup We’ve Ever Had!

We’ve homed over 40,000 dogs since Many Tears began, and yet.. Promise might just be the most extraordinary (and challenging) pup we’ve ever met.

He’s a young Cocker Spaniel cross who has fought hard to live. When he arrived, he couldn’t even stand. His brain simply didn’t know how to tell his body what to do. He didn’t respond to love, couldn’t figure out how to untangle himself from a chair leg, didn’t sniff on walks, and stairs? Forget it.

But now?

• He can walk, run, and always comes when called.
• He circles around you with the enthusiasm of a toddler on a sugar rush (watch your feet!)
• He has imprinted himself on our hearts in a way few dogs ever do.

However.. Promise is like a 16-month-old child in a puppy’s body. You need to watch him every second.

• He has no sense of danger – ponds, cliffs, strange dogs – all potential disasters.
• He eats like he’s never seen food before. If your fingers get in the way, well… you’ll know about it (zero malice, zero jaw control).
• He will trip you up. Repeatedly. With joy.

Every day, he learns something new, and every day, he amazes us. He doesn’t need pity - he needs someone extraordinary.

What Promise Needs:

• A child-free home, not because he can’t meet kids, but because he needs 100% of your focus.
