A Gentle Soul Ready to Shine

Moto is a large miniature Poodle who has come to us from a breeder. At just over 12kg, he is much smaller than a standard Poodle but still full of quiet charm. Moto is now beginning a new chapter, and we’re seeing glimpses of the lovely dog he’s becoming.

Understandably, Moto is still shy and wary of human hands, but his confidence has grown since arriving with us. He’s especially motivated by food and is learning to take treats from kind hands, even if he hasn’t quite mastered gentleness yet! Behind his initial caution is a playful, sweet-natured boy who loves his toys, especially tough chews like Nylabones and enjoys snuggling up in his bed.

Moto is a dream resident at the rescue. He gets along beautifully with all the other dogs, shares his space and food without fuss, and is clean and quiet in his kennel. While he’s not ready to face the world on his own just yet, he will thrive in a calm, understanding home with a friendly resident dog who can guide him and offer reassurance.

His new family will need to support him with house training, lead walking, and building confidence in everyday life. Everything will feel new and overwhelming at first, but with patience and gentle encouragement, Moto has the potential to truly blossom. He recently had a dental where one tooth was removed, and he recovered well.

Moto is a very special boy who just needs someone to believe in him. If you can offer a peaceful home filled with kindness, a doggy friend, and the time to help him grow, Moto could become the most devoted and gentle companion you could hope for.

Moto did recently show signs of having a slight limp, he was assessed by our vet and they believe it was due to the length of the quicks in his nails, so this should start to improve with frequent nail trimming to reduce the length of the quicks. He also had a small hernia repaired at the time of his neuter.

Can live with other dogs
