Simba is a stunning boy who has come such a long way since first arriving with us from a breeder back in October. When he first came into our care, he was extremely frightened and unsure of the world around him. Over time, and with gentle handling and a consistent routine, Simba has slowly blossomed into a more confident and affectionate boy, especially once he forms a bond with his trusted humans.

He was recently adopted, but due to an unfortunate accident that left his adopter unable to care for him, Simba has returned to the rescue. While it’s heartwarming to see how settled and joyful he is here, it’s also bittersweet, as he clearly feels safest in this familiar environment. Now, we hope to find him a forever home where he can feel just as secure and loved.

Simba is still wary of new situations and can become overwhelmed, especially when navigating unfamiliar spaces. However, he absolutely shines once he knows and trusts you. He adores his walks to the play yard and enjoys a good zoomie session with his doggy friends! Simba gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one kind and confident resident dog to help guide him and boost his confidence.

Because of his sensitive nature, Simba is looking for a calm, adult home or a home with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand he may need time and space to adjust. While he has briefly experienced home life, he’ll still need patient adopters to help him continue learning about housetraining and general home routines.

Simba is currently receiving treatment for sore ears but remains cheerful and affectionate with those he knows well. With time, understanding, and love, this beautiful boy has the potential to thrive in a home and form the most loyal of bonds.
