Maticus is a 3-year-old Miniature Poodle who has come to us from a breeder. This sweet and sensitive boy has never lived in a home before, but his journey from shy uncertainty to budding confidence has been a joy to witness. Now in a foster home, Maticus is showing just how ready he is to become someone’s beloved companion.

He has settled beautifully into foster life. Maticus gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and is also comfortable around cats. He sleeps peacefully beside his fosterer’s bed and walks beautifully on a harness and lead. They’ve even taken trips to a secure field where he’s shown fantastic recall, always eager to stay close and please the people he trusts.

Although he can be a little shy with new people at first, it doesn’t take long before his tail is wagging and he’s leaning in for affectionate back scratches. Once he knows you, Maticus is deeply loyal and incredibly loving. His gentle nature shines brightest when he’s simply by your side, quietly soaking in your company.

As he came from a breeder, Maticus had no previous experience of life in a home. Thanks to the support of his foster family, he’s made excellent progress with house training, lead walking, and learning the rhythms of family life. To help him continue to grow, Maticus will need a home with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can offer reassurance and companionship.

Maticus is a calm and affectionate boy with so much love to give. He just needs the right people to help him continue his journey, and in return he will be the most devoted, gentle friend.
