  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I could live with other dogs or be an only dog but I haven't met cats yet.

  • House and garden requirements

Please be patient with me, I need to learn lead walking and house manners.

  • Out and about requirements

I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.

  • Training needs

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Medical issues

I have a few health issues—please read my write-up for more details.

02-04-25 Mr. Darcy has come to us from a breeder, and he’s the definition of laid back. This sweet gentleman just wants to watch the world go by from the comfort of a cozy sofa, soaking up all the love and cuddles he can get.

Mr. Darcy has come to us with bilateral discharge and a polyp on the right eye lid that has been removed at the time of castration. He also has constricted ears that have been flushed and cleaned. Both medical needs are being assessed and we are hoping to get him back to tip, top shape!

He’s looking for a calm and loving home where he can enjoy his twilight years in peace. He could potentially be the only dog in the right home, one where his adopters are around most of the time to give him the attention he deserves and help give him that little extra confidence boost. That said, he does enjoy the company of other dogs, so he’d be just as happy with a friendly canine companion.

Mr. Darcy is still learning about house training and walking on a lead, so he’ll need patient adopters to help him along the way. But with his gentle nature and love for snuggles, he’s sure to make the perfect lap dog. If you’re looking for a chilled out best friend to share your sofa with, Mr. Darcy might just be the one for you!
