Jack – The Biggest Little Man Looking for His Next Adventure

Jack is a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier cross Manchester Terrier with a heart as bold as his brain is brilliant. Given up from a home, Jack was living with children, but was not suited to that lifestyle. He’s now searching for people who truly understand what it means to live with a high-energy, highly intelligent terrier.

Jack is clever, busy, and always up for a challenge. He’s been described as quiz-show-contestant smart, the kind of dog who’d master agility, flyball, or search-and-retrieve work in no time if given the chance. He’s ball-mad, quick to learn, and needs a home that can channel his big brain and bigger energy into something purposeful.

He’s displayed some guarding behaviour in the past and can become overwhelmed and end up nipping if not given space and structure. For this reason, Jack needs an adult-only home with confident, experienced adopters who can continue to guide him with calm leadership and positive training. He’s a loving, loyal boy who thrives on routine, boundaries, and fun.

Jack gets along well with other dogs and could live with a playful canine companion, but he also has the confidence to be an only dog. What matters most is that his adopters are tuned into his needs and ready to offer him the active, enriched lifestyle he’s been craving. He cannot be homed with cats or small furries.

Having come from a home, Jack already knows the basics of home life, though he may need a little refresher as he settles in. He's crate-trained, loves his walks, and can keep himself entertained for hours, especially if there’s a ball involved!

Jack has presented with traces of blood in his urine. He is currently undergoing blood tests and being monitored by the vets to determine the cause and does not have blood in his urine currently.

Jack is truly one of a kind. He’s the “biggest little man” you’ll ever meet, and with the right home, he’ll absolutely shine. If you think you can be the person who helps Jack write his next chapter, please fill out an application. This little legend is waiting for his hero.
