Kovu
25-10-25 Kovu has come to us from a loving home after his owner sadly became unwell. We’ve been told that Kovu has always been a very friendly, loving, and affectionate boy. Sadly, when his owner was diagnosed with cancer, his behaviour began to change and he started scratching her. We don’t know if this was due to him sensing something different or picking up on the changes in the home, but for this reason, Kovu will be looking for an adult-only home where he can settle and feel secure.
Since arriving with us, he has been a wonderful boy and has been happy to have fuss and attention and will even bump you with his little head to ask for more fuss. He has been fine to pick up and handle.
We’re told that Kovu has previously lived happily alongside another cat, dogs, and even a house rabbit, so he may be able to live with other friendly animals again, provided careful and slow introductions are made.
Kovu could be homed as a house cat, but as he’s been used to having access to the outdoors, we’d also consider a home where he could have safe outdoor access in a quiet area, well away from busy or main roads. His adopters would need to keep him inside for a few weeks until he has bonded with them and settled in to his new home.
This lovely boy has been through a lot of change and really deserves a second chance with a kind, understanding family who will give him the love and reassurance he needs to flourish once again.
