Lenny

28-03-26 Lenny has come to us from a breeder and is looking for a special forever home. He is a very handsome, large boy who any Maine Coon lover will adore. We are told that he is usually an affectionate and confident boy who loves nothing more than a head tickle, but since arriving with us he is quite overwhelmed and so we haven't seen that side of him yet.

At the moment, Lenny prefers to hide away in his bed and can be a little spicy and will hiss at you to let you know he doesn't want to be bothered. He has started to enjoy a gentle fuss from those he knows as long as it's on his terms. We are hopeful that when he settles in to his new home he will decompress and will begin to show his sweet side again, but this may take some time and so his adopters will need to be patient with him and not expect too much too soon.

Lenny would be best suited to adopters who have experience with the breed and also have experience with spicy cats. He will need an adult only home. We are told that he can be quite fussy with which other animals he likes and so we feel he would prefer to be the only pet in the home.

Lenny could be homed as an indoor cat, provided his adopters are able to offer him plenty of mental stimulation, enrichment and interactive play to keep him happy and fulfilled. He has previously had access to both indoors and outdoors, and if his new home would like to offer him outdoor access, this would need to be in a quiet or rural area well away from any busy or main roads to ensure he is kept safe. As with all cats, he would also need to be kept indoors for the first few weeks while he settles into his new surroundings and builds a bond with his adopters.

Lenny is a very special boy and we are hopeful that with love, patience and TLC he will come out of his shell.
