18-06-25 This extremely handsome boy is Wilbur! Wilbur arrived with his friend Betsi after their owner sadly had to move house and couldn’t take them along. While they could be adopted together, they aren’t especially bonded and would be just as happy to find homes separately.

Wilbur is truly one of a kind. He has every single person who meets him wrapped around his paws - even those who don’t usually consider themselves “cat people” can’t resist his charm. He’s a confident, curious little explorer who loves to be involved in everything going on around him. As king of the cattery, Wilbur is always the first to greet any new visitors who enter his kingdom.

He enjoys fuss and cuddles, but he’s equally content to lounge around and watch the world go by. In fact, sometimes he’s so relaxed that he won’t even move when we’re hoovering and so we end up having to hoover around him!

Wilbur’s easygoing nature means he’d suit most types of homes. He could live happily as the only pet, but he’s also proven himself to be a gentleman around other cats and could live with them given proper introductions. He has also met dogs and could share his home with a calm, cat friendly dog. Wilbur has previously lived with children and could happily do so again, as long as they are kind and gentle.

He would be perfectly content as an indoor only cat, though in his previous home he sometimes enjoyed a little outdoor exploring. If his new home is in a quiet area away from busy roads, outdoor access could be considered once he has fully settled in.

At the moment, Wilbur is a little underweight and has a sensitive stomach. He has been assessed by our vets, who have run blood tests as well as screenings for common cat diseases, and everything has come back clear. It seems likely that he may just be intolerant to certain ingredients. He’s currently on a high-calorie diet to help him gain weight, and his adopters will need to continue a little trial and error with food to find what works best for him. At the moment his bowel movements are solid, but some days he can be sick, though he doesn't let this get him down.

Wilbur is a confident, affectionate, and wonderfully relaxed boy who will make the most fantastic companion. Could you be the one to give this special lad his forever home?
